PICPA offers students many chances to get involved in the CPA Community. Be active in a PICPA program and you can be rewarded for outstanding academic performance. High School Essay Contest

This annual contest challenges high school students to write essays about current events related to the business environment. Cash awards vary by chapter.

Accounting Career Day

Formerly Passport to Opportunity

Every year, local PICPA chapters host Accounting Career Day programs across the state. The program is a one day event that invites students to learn about the diverse career paths in accounting first hand from local CPAs.

The 2012 programs were a huge success thanks the planning efforts of the chapter schools and colleges committees. In October and November members spoke to 1,155 high school students from 62 high schools at 9 programs across the state. 




High School Programs

Each year PICPA tours colleges across the state to provide free Accounting Career Day programs for high school students. At these programs, stduents learn more about diverse career opportunities in the accounting profession and the advantages of the CPA designation.
