Scholarships & Awards

PICPA offers a variety of scholarships and awards to help defray the cost of education and honor outstanding scholastic achievement. Scholarship amounts range from $500-$5,000!

Scholarship candidates are judged by their intellectual capacity, leadership potential, financial need, and intent to pursue a career in accounting.

Scholarships

College Scholarships

Students from any Pennsylvania college/university who meets the requirements can apply for scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 and can be renewed annually until the completion of a recipient's degree. 

Winners will be announced in May.

In addition, some scholarships are awarded geographically and apply to specific colleges/universities. See what is available in your chapter. 

For Graduates

CPA Exam Scholarships

Designed to help cover some of the costs associated with taking the CPA Exam. These scholarships are worth $500 and the application windows are Mar. 1 - April 30 and Sept. 1 - Oct. 31. View full details.

150 Hour Scholarships

Designed to help cover some of the costs associated with completing the additional credit hours needed to become a licensed CPA in Pennsylvania. Scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who best satisfy the requirements. Scholarships are awarded as a reimbursement after coursework is successfully completed. Winners will be announced in May.

Student Writing Competition

Accounting and business majors can compete for prizes for themselves and their schools as they address current issues in the accounting profession. View details.

Outstanding Senior Award - Faculty ONLY

One senior accounting major at each Pennsylvania college offering an accounting degree is selected by college faculty for the prestigious award. View details.

Philadelphia 2013 Student Case Competition
The PICPA and the Philadelphia Chapter Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Academic Relations Committee invites current students to participate in the third annual IIA/PICPA Case Competition. View more details.
