2012
  • Secured another $20 million to fund the Dept. of Revenue’s Technology and Process Modernization project  - Act 9A
  • Tax Code Improvements – Act 85
    • Joint filing for deceased spouses in the year the spouse died
    • Consideration the special tax provisions for poverty when making estimated payments based on prior year tax liability
    • Automatic extensions for corporate tax filings reflecting IRS adjustments
    • Immediate appeal of DOR’s adjustment of a tax item
    • Authorizes the secretary of the DOR to settle certain tax disputes and negotiate compromises
    • Allows prepayment of Sales & Use Tax equal to or greater than 50 percent of the current month for certain taxpayers
  • Public-Private Transportation Partnerships to alleviate fiscal stress - Act 88

  •  Streamline School District Annual Financial Reports -Act 104 (House Bill 101)
  • Secured funding for Department of Revenue Technology and Process Modernization project - Act 1A

  • Simplified the S Corporation Election Process - Act 67 (Senate Bill 300)
  • Revised County Code requirement for due date of financial statement to Department of Community and Economic Development - Act 142 (House Bill 2185)
  • Updated audit threshold requirements under Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act - Act 121 (House Bill 632)
  • Reformed and streamlined tax administration and appeals process - Act 119 (Senate Bill 993)

  • Standardized definitions of "Earned Income" and "Net Profits" under the Local Tax Enabling Law - Act 24
  • Made Lying to a CPA a "Deceptive or Fradulent" Business Practice under the PA Criminal Code - Act 234 (House Bill 623)

2002
  • Standardized definitions of "Earned Income" and "Net Profits" under the Local Tax Enabling Law - Act 166
