PICPA is committed to promoting diversity in the accounting profession. The Diversity Committee has gathered these resources and is working to develop programs that help us achieve more awareness of the accounting profession to diverse populations, as well as engage minorities in PICPA. Listen as Julius Green, CPA, committee chair, shares what the committee hopes to accomplish in its first two years in this PICPA Conversations podcast.

• Scholarships & Awards
  PICPA offers undergraduate and graduate scholarships as well as writing competitions and other awards.
• AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students
  This program provides awards to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into profession. 
• The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting Scholarship
• AICPA’s Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students
  AICPA offers fellowships to full-time minority accounting scholars who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators.
• NABA Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP)
  ACAP seeks to build awareness among high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups of accounting and business career opportunities.
• NABA National Scholarship Program
  NABA offers 40-70 national scholarships annually, ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. 
• Hispanic Scholarship Fund
  ALPFA and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latino students. Scholarships range from $1500 to $10,000.
