Pittsburgh Chapter Holiday Happy Hour Raises Thousands for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

December 2009

The Pittsburgh Chapter partnered with other area professionals to raise $3,400 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the chapter’s Holiday Happy Hour on Dec. 11, 2009 at Mullen’s Bar and Grill. More than 100 people came out to celebrate the holiday season and help reach the $3,400 goal, which covers the average cost of one child's wish. See how the money was used to grant the wish  of a Pittsburgh area child.

Activities included a 50/50 drawing and silent and Chinese auctions. There were a variety of exciting auction items available including a Nintendo Wii game system, an autographed Pittsburgh Steelers football, Steelers and Penguins jerseys, a pair of Penguins tickets, and University of Pittsburgh basketball tickets.

The chapter and partnering organizations presented the check to the Make-A-Wish Foundation on Dec. 16, 2009 during the morning radio show on Wish 99.7 FM. Thanks to all who made this special event possible!
