Membership Categories & Rates

Membership is open to both CPAs and non-CPAs in the profession, as well as college students majoring in accounting. Join PICPA at one of the following membership levels.




Membership Categories for CPAs


Active Member

A CPA, in any state*, regardless of license status (active or expired).

Active Educator

A CPA, in any state*, regardless of license status (active or expired) who is a full-time faculty member at an accredited college or university.

Nonresident Members

A CPA with a Pennsylvania license, regardless of license status (active or expired) who neither lives nor works in Pennsylvania.




Membership Categories for Non-CPAs


Student Affiliate

A full-time college student, majoring in accounting or a related field.

Accounting Affiliate

A recent graduate (within the past five years) with a bachelors or masters degree in accounting or a related field.

Candidate for Admission

A candidate who has passed all four parts of the CPA Exam but has not yet received a CPA license.

Associate

Works in the accounting field, has a bachelors degree, and works closely with an active PICPA member who is willing to serve as an annual membership sponsor.

Associate Educator

Works in the accounting field, has a bachelors degree, and works closely with an active PICPA member who is willing to serve as an annual membership sponsor, and is a full-time faculty member at an accredited college or university.

Former Members and Reinstatements

Applications for reinstatement must be submitted with dues for the year in which reinstatement becomes effective. Members who were terminated for non-payment of dues must add a reinstatement fee of $50 to current dues rate, and may be subject to additional sums due to the Institute at the time of his/her termination.
