The Student Writing Competition April 13 deadline is quickly approaching, so now is the time to complete your entry and submit a chance to win $2,000. Don't miss the opportunity to weigh in on the topic "Assessing the Impact of Frequent Financial Information Restatements." Time is running out. Make your opinion known! Hershey Bears Hockey Night
The South Central Chapter invites you to watch the 2006 Calder Cup Champion Hershey Bears on April 7. The Hershey Bears, the farm team for the AHL Washington Capitals, will be playing the Norfolk Admirals. Tickets sell quickly, so register now. Southwestern Chapter Dinner
College students are invited to a special Southwestern Chapter Dinner program on April 25 at Westmoreland County Community College. This year, PICPA is offering college and graduate students an opportunity to attend select state conferences for free! AICPA Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop for Minority Students
From May 31 to June 2, AICPA is hosting a workshop in Peachtree City, Georgia, for minority students. Accounting professionals from public accounting firms and private industry will lead workshops focused on enhancing leadership, team building, presentation, and communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity for accounting students in their fourth and/or fifth year of studies to convene and enhance their understanding of the benefits of a CPA career. For eligibility requirements and the application, please visit the AICPA Web site. The deadline for submissions is April 12, 2007. Due to limited spacing, applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
