A Message from President Louis Marcin

As I look back on the success our chapter has achieved the past few years, I am excited to take on the responsibility of continuing the positive trends that my predecessors have established.  With the assistance of the officers and committees of this organization, I feel that I can accomplish the tasks I have set forth below.

As President of PICPA’s Northeastern Chapter, it is my responsibility to set forth goals to achieve during my one year tenure.  Although my time as President is limited, I feel that these goals can be carried forward for years to come.  They are as follows:

  • Improve financial literacy within our community
  • Improve relations with schools and colleges, as our Chapter’s future is dependent upon those students entering into the accounting profession upon graduation
  • Develop CPE programs that meet the needs of our Chapter’s membership
  • Increase membership participation.  While it is important to grow in numbers as a chapter, I feel that member participation is most essential in developing a strong chapter presence in the community
