Greater Philadelphia Congratulates Successful Candidates

All the stars came out for the most anticipated social event of the year -- the Greater Philadelphia Chapter’s Successful Candidate Reception and Casino Night at the Loews Hotel on Nov. 14, 2007. Even Paris Hilton was reported to be in town for the event. Or she may have actually been next door at Macy’s promoting her new perfume…we’re not quite sure…

Either way, the real stars of the evening were this year’s successful candidates, who were honored for successfully passing the CPA exam. The annual event, sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter’s Emerging CPAs Committee, is a fun-filled evening designed to congratulate and welcome the newest additions to the CPA profession and to PICPA.

The evening started with a networking and cocktail reception prior to the awards presentation, which was followed by an impressive dinner spread that offered everything from a Mediterranean station to Italian and Mexican cuisine. After dinner, the successful candidates and their guests engaged in a variety of casino games, fighting the odds and praying for a little luck to come their way – similar to how many of them managed to pass the exam.
