Pittsburgh Chapter Annual Meeting

The Pittsburgh Chapter experienced perfect weather for photos on the deck overlooking the Allegheny River for their chapter annual meeting at the Riverwatch. More than 100 people attended the Pittsburgh Chapter’s Annual Meeting and Casino Night on May 11.

During the annual meeting, the new chapter leadership was sworn in by Eric P. Wallace, vice president and nominee for president-elect of PICPA Council.   Paula J. Hasbach, chapter president thanked outgoing committee members, officers and past presidents for their dedication and hard work.  Scott W. Myers, incoming president, joined in congratulating those who have been PICPA members for 20, 30, 40, 50 consecutive  years and successful candidates who passed the CPA exam in the past year.

40 year members in attendance were: Norman H. Goodlin, William D. Griffith III, Theodore H. Kijanka, Steven Knezevich, CPA and William M. Tarlo.

Fifty year members in attendance were Jerry W. Barrho and L. E. LaScala.

The 2006-2007 Pittsburgh Chapter Distinguished Service Awards recipients were announced; Thomas J. Ryan, Charles J. Clark, and Debra A. Ries. 

The 2006-2007 Pittsburgh Chapter Volunteer Service Awards recipients were presented to:  Beverly A. Elovitz, Jeffrey J. Spengler, Timothy D. Adams, William J. Synder, Sheldon Clark, Stephen M Whishdosh, and Stephen M. Beckwith.
 
The dinner meeting was followed by lively casino games of black jack, craps and roulette.  Prizes donated for the casino games included a Pittsburgh Pirate Box at PNC from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and four premium Pittsburgh Pirate tickets from Maher Duessel CPAs.
