Resource Rebels Clinch Ultimate Game Show Title

It was a heated and intense battle filled with blood, sweat, and tears. But in the end, only one team could be crowned the winner of this year’s Ultimate Game Show. The Pittsburgh Chapter’s Emerging CPAs Committee was proud to announce the Resource Rebels as the victors of this year’s competition that took place at Olive and Twist in downtown Pittsburgh on Nov. 15, 2007.

More than 30 PICPA members came out to showcase their impressive intellectual, physical, and athletic abilities. Members competed in a variety of edge-of-your-seat battles such as “Who can put on an over-sized t-shirt and fill it with the most balloons?” and “Move a marshmallow across the room using only a straw” - finally busting the age-old myth that accountants are just bean-counters.

Jean Watson from McCrory & McDowell, LLC was named this year’s MVP (actually, her name was pulled in a random drawing) and was awarded a Becker CPA Review Exam Study Package valued at $2,690! Additionally, all members of the winning “Rebels” team received $50 giftcards. Congratulations to this year’s winners, and thanks to all other participating teams – and remember, there’s always next year!
