The first-ever Power Provided by PICPA program was attended by 135 college students on April 25 at the Hilton Hotel on City Ave in Philadelphia. The program was a huge success, with two great speakers and six outstanding exhibitors: Becker CPA Review, BMC, Feed the Pig, Philadelphia CPA Review, Reinsel Kuntz Lesher, and St. Clair CPAs.

The night started off with refreshments and networking, followed by speakers Jonna Martin of AdvanceMe Associates and Francesca Zampaglione, CPA, of PICPA. They both captivated the crowd with their entertaining, dynamic, and real-world presentations. Francesca kept it real with “which one of these doesn’t belong” theme for work wardrobe critiquing, while Jonna highlighted business etiquette tips, from cell phone ring tones to how to eat corn on the cob. Participants who asked questions and interacted with the speakers received a complimentary gift bag from Kiehl’s filled with their skin and hair products.

The program ended with a guest appearance from Benjamin Bankes the Feed the Pig program mascot, more networking with exhibitors, and a raffle for prizes from Banana Republic, H&M, J.Crew, Macy’s, and scholarships to Becker CPA Review and Philadelphia CPA Review.
