Reading Chapter Annual Meeting

Members of the Reading Chapter enjoyed an evening of magic at Reading’s Annual Meeting at the Berkshire Country Club on May 18. Members and their guests were entertained by magician Eddy Ray’s array of tricks, jokes, and stunts.

Attendees enjoyed a cocktail hour prior to the meeting in the Country Club’s Ballroom Alcove overlooking the putting green.  Martin A. Darocha, chapter president, began the meeting thanking the chapter’s officers and leadership for all their hard work. PICPA President J. Andrew Weidman was present to install the incoming executive committee.

Robert F. Firely, Jr., incoming chapter president, was thrilled to present the first Reading Chapter Champion Award to Virgil A. Kahl for her outstanding leadership in launching the Money & Life program and other financial literacy efforts. Also recognized were the chapter’s successful CPA candidates, past presidents, and members who have reached 20, 30, 40, and 50 consecutive years of PICPA membership.

Members wrapped-up the evening by indulging in the Country Club’s famous dessert, a chocolate-covered pretzel ice cream cake. The treat, coupled with the entertainment, was a great way to close out the evening.
