The South Central Chapter’s Annual Meeting and Casino Night had a fantastic turn-out with approximately 90 members and guests at the Hershey Country Club on May 10. Immediately prior to the annual meeting, a cocktail reception was held to welcome all of the successful candidates who had passed the CPA exam within the last year.

Lisa A. Myers, chapter president, thanked the chapter’s outgoing leadership, committee members, and past presidents for all their hard work.  PICPA President J. Andrew Weidman administered the oath to the 2007-2008 chapter leadership.  Tami N. Russo, the incoming president, assisted in recognizing the chapter members who have reached 20, 30, 40, and 50 consecutive years of PICPA membership and successful CPA candidates. She also addressed the meeting detailing chapter plans for the coming year.  The evening featured special recognition of Raymond C. Keller, who was the 2007 PICPA Distinguished Public Service Award recipient.

A special guest was also introduced to the chapter--Benjamin Bankes--spokes pig for the ‘Feed the Pig’ Campaign. He charmed many as he was photographed with members during the evening.

After dinner, members and guests took to the casino tables and enjoyed games of poker, black jack, roulette, and craps. A raffle followed with prizes donated by the chapter.
