South Central Chapter Enjoys an Evening with Stuart Malina and the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra

Members of the South Central Chapter spent a relaxing evening at the Milestone Inn, overlooking the Susquehanna River, with Stuart Malina, conductor of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. The chapter’s third and successful ABC event on Sept. 19, 2007 featured a performance from Maestro Malina, who also engaged the audience with a brief explanation of his work, how he prepares for a performance, and how he came to settle with the Harrisburg orchestra.

Guests enjoyed fine wine and cuisine from Stocks on 2nd Restaurant in Harrisburg. Attendees were also given a tour of the restored 20th Century tudor mansion which now operates as a luxury bed and breakfast.

The evening came to a close with Stuart invited everyone to crowd around the grand piano as he performed a few ragtime pieces. Guests agreed it was the perfect end to a delightful evening.
