The Berks County Bar Foundation and the Reading Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) invite you to join us at a holiday benefit luncheon on Dec. 5, 2008, featuring Philadelphia Phillies Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt. 

Since its inception in 1994, the Berks County Bar Foundation has turned to the generosity of the Berks County Bar Association and the community at large to fund numerous programs that benefit the welfare of Berks County’s children. This year, the Foundation is partnering with PICPA’s Reading Chapter in what we hope will become an annual fundraising event.

This gathering will provide a unique opportunity to network with other professionals while also supporting the needs of Berks County children. It’s a great way to begin the holiday season by giving back to those who need our help the most. The enclosed materials provide information on the many sponsorship opportunities and packages available, as well as how to purchase individual tickets or tables. There will be a live and silent auction during the event, featuring many items of sports memorabilia.

The Berks County Bar Foundation is a not‑for‑profit organization that supports children of all ages through numerous programs, including CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates); the Bridge Fund, a stopgap measure that helps families stay together and keeps kids out of the legal system; and the Book ’Em program, which purchases and distributes books to kindergarten students in the Reading School District.
