South Central Chapter Members Hit it Big at the Chapter Annual Meeting and Casino Night

South Central Chapter members gathered to thank outgoing leadership, congratulate chapter award winners, and try their hand at game or two of poker at the South Central Chapter Annual Meeting and Casino Night, held May 7, 2008, at the West Shore Country Club.

The chapter’s Successful Candidates were honored at a private reception prior to the meeting where they were greeted and congratulated by members of the chapter’s Emerging CPAs Committee. Committee members encouraged the honorees to get involved in the fun chapter activities planned by the committee each year.

As the meeting got underway, Tami Noll Russo, outgoing chapter president, thanked the 2007-2008 officers, committee members, and committee chairs for their work and dedication to the chapter.  In reviewing her year as president, she thanked volunteers who participated in all the successful programs the chapter planned. Incoming officers were sworn in, four 40-year members were inducted into Lifetime membership, and Matthew Wildasin was presented with the chapter’s 2008 Volunteer Service Award.

After the meeting attendees were treated to a steak and crab cakes dinner and dessert, as the Pit Boss invited everyone to hit the tables when they were finished. Guests had a great time playing roulette, craps, poker, black jack, and more. As the games came to a close, prizes were raffled off to the lucky winners. Guests finished out the evening with socializing and dancing.
