2008-2009 Chapter Leadership

President – William M. Sadecky

William M. Sadecky is an analyst with ANH Refractories Company in Moon Township. He specializes in financial accounting and management reporting and application and process control relating to ERP systems.  Bill graduated from Penn State University and has been a member since 1992. He has chaired the Members in Business and Industry Committee in addition to serving on the Southwestern Chapter Executive Committee.

Bill’s goals for the Southwest Chapter:

• Provide CPE that is applicable and meaningful at a reasonable cost to members.
• Promote financial literacy and consider “adopting” at least one small company or some similar organization where we can hold a session and periodically “check in” throughout the year to help them stay on track.
• Demonstrate our passion for the profession by continuing to host the High School Accounting Career day and participating in the IUP Accounting Career Day. 
• Identify SW Chapter members that represent our chapter geographically and are willing to promote the profession to any interested college or schools that may not have the resources, class size, or ability to attend the conference.
• Continue to support the Chapter Golf Outing, or similar event.
• Reach out to members on an individual basis and encourage them to become more active within our chapter

2008-2009 Chapter Officers

President - Elect - Thomas J. (Tim) Rennie
Thomas J. (Tim) Rennie is principal of Thomas J. Rennie, CPA inLigonier.  His specialty is in general accounting and auditing.
He earned his undergraduate degree from St. Vincent’s College and MS in business from Indiana University of PA and joined PICPA in 1986.  Tim has chaired Member Services Committee, Management of Accounting Practice Committee, and Chapter Golf Outing.  He has also served on the Practitioners, CPA Image Enhancement, and Not for Profit Committees.  Tim is president of Ligonier Chamber of Commerce, serves on the board of the Private Industries Council and is a past president of Ligonier Rotary Club.

Vice President – Kathleen L. DeMarchi
Kathleen L. DeMarchi, founder and principal of Demarchi and Associates in North Huntingdon.  She specializes in accounting, taxes and consulting for small business, non-profits and individuals.  Kathy graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and joined PICPA in 1990.
She has been active within Southwestern Chapter and chaired the Relations With Schools and Colleges Committee previous to joining the Executive Committee and the chapter leadership. 

Secretary - Brenda M. Dils
Brenda M. Dils is senior budget consultant at Allegheny Energy in Greensburg. Since joining PICPA in 1985, she chaired Members in Business and Industry Committees, Technical Meetings and Chapter CPE, and served as liaison to the Legislation Committee.  She also served on General Industry Committee, Executive Committee, and Nominations Committee. Brenda is a member of the board of directors at Allegheny Energy Credit Union. She is a graduate of Seton Hill University.

Treasurer– Deborah K. Nicholas
Deborah K. Nicholas is controller for T.J.S. Mining Inc in Shelocta. She received a bachelor’s degree from Thiel College in mathematics, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University at New Kensington. Deborah has been a member of PICPA since 1990. She has chaired CPA Image Enhancement, Speakers Bureau, and Lifestyles and Family Issues Committees; as well as been involved with the Practitioners Committee prior to joining the Executive Committee.
