Mad About Money High School Program

Financial literacy is not just for adults. PICPA is committed to teaching important financial principles to children and encouraging them to consider a career as a CPA. In 2008, PICPA partnered with the National Theatre for Children to deliver these messages through the “Mad About Money” assembly program. More than 5,000 students in nearly 20 schools across Pennsylvania participated in the program.

PICPA members have also joined together to provide classroom lessons on 11 different topics that provide practical skills high school students can use in their daily lives:

Financing College
Buying or Leasing Cars
Car Insurance
Budgeting
Checking Accounts
Cost of Interest—Credit Cards
Investment Alternatives
Stocks and Bonds
Home Ownership
Health Insurance
Taxation
