Peer-to-Peer Consultation Service

This member-to-member service promotes direct interaction among colleagues, while providing valuable assistance with technical and administrative problems, such as:

  • How are capital leases handled under GASB No. 34?
  • Where can I find a sample engagement letter?
  • Does a LLC need to file a Pittsburgh Business Privilege Tax Return

This service is free to members for an initial consultation on matters not involving extensive research or preparation of written reports. To make the program effective, we need the assistance of members with the expertise and willingness to assist their fellow members.

We are looking for volunteers from all membership segments: public practice (all size firms), industry, government, education, nonprofit sector, etc.

To serve as a consultant, you must:

  • Be a member of the PICPA
  • Possess at least five years of recent experience in your area(s) of expertise and be currently active
  • Have kept up with the latest developments in your area(s) of expertise through education, current reading, etc.
  • Have an awareness of, and access to, the latest communications technology (e-mail and Internet)
  • Have a strong desire to assist your fellow PICPA members, and wish to be recognized as a specialist in your field(s)
