Pennsylvania Takes Critical Step to Become Substantially Equivalent

Governor Edward Rendell signed Senate Bill 838 into law on July 10, 2008, amending the CPA Statute. The law meets the national education standard of 150 credit hours and one year public accounting experience; changes CPA firm ownership to a simple majority; and updates peer review language.
