Government Relations

Who We Are

The Government Relations Team, in conjunction with PICPA committees, works to advocate issues of importance to the accounting profession.

The PICPA Government Relations Team:

  • manages your relationship with federal and state government through applied knowledge and timely communications.
  • informs members of newly passed legislation and pending issues of interest to the PICPA through a Legislative Update
  • monitors how government plans will affect your business, and promotes the interests of CPAs before the state legislature, regulatory bodies, and other organizations.
  • supports elected officials who understand the concerns of our profession and who are committed to improving the business climate in Pennsylvania.

The success of the PICPA Government Relations efforts are dependent upon many factors. Our lobbying efforts, for example, are closely intertwined with the Key Person Program.
