What Are E-mail Discussion Groups?

PICPA's e-mail discussion groups -- also known as listservs -- are designed to improve communication among members, offer a forum for exchanging ideas, and provide answers to questions and challenges faced by fellow members.

Those participating can pose questions via e-mail to the whole discussion group, and everyone signed-up for the group will receive the question and have the ability to respond if they chose.

A vast body of technical knowledge and expertise, open discussion forums with your peers on pertinent issues, and real-time interaction on almost any topic will be available to you, all at the click of a button.

Participants have the following options for how they would like to receive the daily messages.

• Mail = Receive messages as they are contributed
  
• Digest = Receive one daily message with all the contributions for that day
  
• Mimedigest = Receive one daily message with all the contributions for that day in MIME format -- all messages will be saved as attachments rather than a straight list
  
• Index = Receive one daily message with only the subject lines for that day
  
• No mail = Receive no mail from this mailing list. This is a great option for when you are on extended leave or vacation. This option still allows you access to the list archives.

Participants can also search the archives online.
