Peer Review

Enrollment

Upon enrollment your firm will be assigned a due date and sent a scheduling form. Once you complete and return the form we will verify the reviewer's qualifications and schedule your peer review.

You are responsible for coordinating the timing of the review with the peer reviewer. We periodically send out letters to keep the process moving. Many of the letters are driven by the estimated peer review exit conference that you provide to us on the scheduling form.

Once the peer review is complete, the peer reviewer sends the report, any comments and certain working papers to PICPA for technical review.

Once the Technical Reviewer and the Director are satisfied with the review documents, they are forwarded to the Peer Review Committee for acceptance.

The Peer Review committee is comprised of volunteers who provide an invaluable member service. These committee members, who are qualified peer reviewers, review the materials to ensure accuracy and consistency across the program.

On average it takes about 60 days from the time the review materials are received by PICPA to acceptance by the Peer Review Committee.
