PA Statute Increases Mobility, Updates to Education & Experience Requirements
In 2008, Gov. Edward Rendell signed Senate Bill 838 into law, amending the CPA Statute. This legislation, now Act 73, increases CPA mobility as they practice across state lines. The law also meets the national education standard of 150 credit hours and one year public accounting experience. This is effective for CPA candidates applying for the CPA Exam beginning Jan. 1, 2012.
