Speaker CPE Credit Hour Guidelines

• For new or updated presentations, you may claim CPE credit for your actual speaking time (based on a 50 minute CPE credit hour) and up to twice that amount of credit for preparation. (Therefore, you may claim 3 CPE credit hours for each 50 minute hour you speak.)
• You may also claim CPE credit for other conference presentations you attend. If you speak for one credit hour (claiming two hours of preparation credit for that time) and you attend the other sessions offered in a normal 8 CPE credit hour day, you may claim a total of 10 CPE credit hours.
• The PICPA does not recommend any CPE credit for repeat presentation of the same material.
• If you are claiming credit in a state other than Pennsylvania, please check with the appropriate State Board of Accountancy.
