Advertising Policies

Alterations to Advertising Copy and Art
Any alterations to advertising copy and artwork are the sole responsibility of the advertiser.

Rate Increases
Contract advertisers will be protected from rate increases for the duration of the written contract.

Restrictions
The publisher will not publish advertising from companies whose programs, products, or services compete with those offered by the PICPA to its members. This includes continuing professional education programs, insurance products, and special association or group discount plans.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be received in writing on or before the materials due date. Cancellations will not be accepted after that date. Cover contracts are non-cancellable. If any portion of the contract is cancelled, the advertiser will be short-rated for the remainder of the contract period.

Legal Liability
Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all content (text, illustrations, and representation) of printed advertisement, and also assume responsibility for any claims arising thereafter made against the publisher.

Advertising Procedures

Reserving Space
New advertisers must reserve space for their first placement, in writing, and return a completed advertising agreement by the space reservation date (see editorial calendar). Thereafter, advertisers must submit a written insertion order for each placement specifying that either existing artwork should be reused or that new artwork will be supplied.

Payment
New advertisers must pay in advance for the first placement of their advertisements to establish credit. Thereafter, advertisers will receive a bill with tearsheets following publication. Advertisers shall make payment for the advertising within 30 days of presenation of a bill.

Artwork
Advertisers must supply film negatives, camera-ready art for black and white only, or CDs for color advertisements by the materials due date
(see editorial calendar).
