Local CPA Becomes Chair of National Association Committee

PHILADELPHIA - Robert C. Jazwinski, CPA/PFS, from Hermitage, Pa., was named chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) Personal Financial Specialist Credential Committee.

Jazwinski, majority shareholder and founder of JFS Wealth Advisors in Hermitage, will lead a group whose objective is to increase the viability, recognition, and value of the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential.

According to Jazwinski, "personal financial planning is a core competency for CPAs, and the PFS is the only personal finance designation specifically designed for CPAs. It signals a higher level of skill and knowledge."

Jazwinski is a member of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). He has served on several committees, including PICPA Council. He has also served on national advisory committees for Lockwood Advisors and Charles Schwab Co. In addition to being a CPA and PFS, Jazwinski is also a certified financial planner.
