Sewell Resident Earns Top 10 Score on CPA Exam

PHILADELPHIA - Steven W. Utke of Sewell, N.J., received an Elijah Watt Sells Award for finishing in the top 10 in the U.S. on the Uniform CPA Examination developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The award is presented annually to the top 10 cumulative scorers on the four parts of the exam. Utke, a member of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), was the top scorer among Pennsylvania examinees. He is now a successful Pennsylvania CPA candidate, who must complete one more year of the two-year work experience requirement to become officially licensed.

Utke, a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., works for Ernst & Young LLP in Philadelphia.
