Shavertown Resident to Lead Local Chapter of  PICPA

Other Area CPAs to Serve as Officers

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Marilyn A. Derolf, a certified public accountant (CPA), was elected president of the Northeastern Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for the 2007-2008 fiscal year. Derolf is controller of TFP Limited in Plains, Pa. She earned a bachelor’s degree from King’s College.

Other 2007-2008 officers elected at PICPA’s Northeastern Chapter annual meeting include the following:
President-Elect – Louis E. Marcin, CPA, is audit manager with Kronick Kalada Berdy & Co. PC in Kingston, Pa. He is treasurer of Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania and a member of the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Kingston. Marcin graduated from King’s College and resides in Swoyersville, Pa.
Secretary – Melanie E. Walsh, CPA, is accounting and auditing supervisor in the Sugarloaf, Pa., office of Jones Kohanski & Co. LLP. She is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and a graduate of Wilkes University. Walsh resides in Mountaintop, Pa.
Treasurer – Adam Kamor, CPA, is a tax supervisor with Kronick Kalada Berdy & Co. PC in Kingston. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University and master’s degree in taxation from Farleigh Dickinson University. Kamor resides in West Pittston, Pa.
