Erie Resident to Lead Local Chapter of PICPA

Other Area CPAs to Serve as Officers of Chapter

ERIE, Pa. – Joseph T. Kuvshinikov, certified public accountant, was elected president of the Erie Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for the 2007-2008 fiscal year.

Kuvshinikov, a tenured associate professor at Kent State University – Ashtabula, is a CPA in both Ohio and Pennsylvania. He earned his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Penn State University.

Kuvshinikov has served in a leadership role for several nonprofits, including the Slavic Evangelical Christian Church Mission, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, and Erie Sisters Cities.

Other 2007-2008 officers elected at PICPA’s Erie Chapter annual meeting include the following:
President-Elect – Marguerite M. Moffatt, CPA, is a partner with Diefenbach Delio Kearney & DeDionisio in Erie. Moffatt is a board member of Rice Avenue Community Public Library and is also involved with the Zonta Club. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from Gannon University.
Secretary – Ryan S. Brosius, CPA, specializes in tax and management consulting with DeMarco Wachter & Company in Erie. He is a member of the Athena Powerlink Advisory Panel, and is a graduate of Penn State University – Behrend.
Treasurer – Michael S. Neubauer, CPA, is a supervisor of taxation and auditing services for the manufacturing sector at McGill, Power, Bell & Associates LLP in Erie. He is treasurer of the Presque Isle Partnership and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Neubauer earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Gannon University.
