Hollidaysburg Resident to Lead Local Chapter of PICPA

Other Area CPAs to Serve as Officers of Chapter

ALTOONA, Pa. – David E. Moses, a certified public accountant, was elected president of the Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for the 2007-2008 fiscal year.

Moses is a partner with Moses, Johnson & Associates PC in Hollidaysburg, Pa. He is treasurer of Arc of Altoona and the Leo J. Verneda A. Wachter Foundation. The Arc is a nonprofit agency that is committed to improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities and their families through education, advocacy, support and socialization. He is also a part-time accounting instructor at Penn State – Altoona. Moses is a graduate of Penn State University.

Other 2007-2008 officers elected at PICPA’s Central Chapter annual meeting include the following:
President-Elect – Steven P. Dale, CPA, is employed by PHI as the controller of Presbyterian Homes in the Presbytery of Huntingdon in Hollidaysburg. He is a member of the Hollidaysburg Rotary. Dale, who resides in Altoona, earned a bachelor’s degree from the Penn State University.
Vice President Timothy M. Ronan, CPA, is a partner with Stanton, Echard & Ronan LLC in State College, Pa. Ronan, who is also a member of PICPA Council, earned a bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University. He resides in Houtzdale, Pa.
Secretary – Randy W. Tarpey, CPA, is a partner with Harry K. Sickler Associates in Tyrone. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and a member of the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation.
Treasurer – Michael J. Peterson, CPA, specializes in business consulting and taxation for Young, Oakes, Brown & Co. PC in Altoona. He is past president of the Hollidaysburg Chapter of AMBUCS, an organization that aides people with disabilities. He is a graduate of Penn State University.
