Greensburg Resident to Lead Local Chapter of PICPA

Other Area CPAs to Serve as Officers of Chapter

GREENSBURG, Pa. – Nazzi Zola, a certified public accountant, was elected president of the Southwestern Chapter of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for the 2007-2008 fiscal year.

Zola is general manager of research and transactions for Allegheny Energy in Greensburg. He is past president of the Charleston Chapter of the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and a former grand knight of the Knights of Columbus. He is also an adjunct professor at Seton Hill University.

Zola earned a bachelor’s degree from King’s College, a master’s degree in business administration from West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, and a doctorate in business administration from Kennedy Western University.

Other 2007-2008 officers elected at PICPA’s Southwestern Chapter annual meeting include the following:
President-Elect – William M. Sadecky, CPA, is a director with The Siegfried Group LLC in Pittsburgh. Sadecky, a Lower Burrell, Pa., resident, is a graduate of Penn State University.
Vice President – Thomas J. Rennie, CPA, owns a public accounting firm in Ligonier, Pa. He is president of the Ligonier Chamber of Commerce. Rennie, who resides in Greensburg, earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Vincent College and a master’s degree in taxation from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Secretary – Brenda M. Dils, CPA, is a senior budget consultant with Allegheny Energy. She also serves on the board of directors of Allegheny Energy Credit Union. Dils, who resides in Greensburg, earned a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hill University.
Treasurer – Deborah K. Nicholas, CPA, is controller of TJS Mining Inc. in Shelocta, Pa. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Thiel College and accounting degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University – New Kensington campus. Nicholas resides in Spring Church, Pa.
