Sinking Spring Resident to Lead Local Chapter of PICPA

Other Area CPAs to Serve as Officers

READING, Pa. – Robert F. Firely, a certified public accountant, was elected president of the Reading Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).

Firely is a partner with Herbein + Company Inc. in Reading, Pa. He is a member of the United Way of Berks County Planning Allocation and Resources Cabinet and a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. Firely, a Sinking Spring, Pa., resident, earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.

Other 2007-2008 officers elected at PICPA’s Reading Chapter annual meeting include the following:
President-Elect – Edward J. Peifer, CPA, is a partner with Long, Barrell & Company Ltd. He is secretary of Union Lodge No. 479 Free and Accepted Masons, vice president of Evangelical Congregational Church Board of Pensions, and treasurer of the Mt. Penn Rotary Scholarship Fund. Peifer, a Douglassville, Pa., resident, earned a bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University.
Secretary – Natalie T. Brown, CPA, is director of business services for the Met-Ed region of First Energy Corporation. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree from King’s College and a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University. She resides in Reading.
Treasurer – Diane E. Renninger, CPA, is vice president and a partner with Pancerella & Associates LLC in Shillington, Pa. She is a member of the Berks County Parrothead Club – a charity that strives to contribute to the betterment of the community and the environment. Renninger, a Shillington, Pa., resident, earned a bachelor’s degree from Alvernia College.
