Delaware County Resident Elected President of PICPA

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Denise L. Devine, a certified public accountant from Moylan, Pa., was elected 2007-2008 president of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) at the Institute’s annual meeting and conference.

Devine is founder and CEO of Nutripharm Inc., a Media, Pa., company that develops food and beverages that incorporate both health and convenience.  She is a co-founder of the Women Investment Network, and has served on several organizations’ boards of directors, including the American Red Cross, Children’s Aid Society of Pennsylvania, and Villanova University of Trustees.

Devine has served on Gov. Ed Rendell’s Pennsylvania Blue Ribbon Business Tax Reform Commission, and is past chair of the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy and PICPA’s Budget and Finance Committee. Devine earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in taxation from Villanova University, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania. 

The other officers elected were Eric P. Wallace, president-elect (Pittsburgh); Susan D. Jarvis, vice president (Nazareth); Kevin M. Mitchell, vice president (Harrisburg); and Rudolph J. Bilich Jr., treasurer (Pittsburgh).
