Pittsburgh Resident Becomes President-Elect of PICPA

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Eric P. Wallace, a certified public accountant from Pittsburgh, was elected 2007-2008 president-elect of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) at the Institute’s annual meeting and conference.

Wallace is a partner and coordinator of the construction and real estate services niche for Carbis Walker LLP in Pittsburgh. He is the author of CCH Publishing’s, “Guide to Construction Contractors,” and in 2005, was recognized by the IRS for his comments and contributions to the Industry Issue Resolution Program, which strives to improve tax administration of contractors, homebuilders, and developers.

Wallace is past chair of PICPA’s Accounting and Auditing Procedures Committee, and he is a graduate of Mesa State College of Colorado.

The other officers elected were Denise L. Devine, president (Moylan); Susan D. Jarvis, vice president (Nazareth); Kevin M. Mitchell, vice president (Harrisburg); and Rudolph J. Bilich Jr., treasurer (Pittsburgh).
