Berks County Resident Honored by PICPA

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – J. Andrew Weidman, a certified public accountant from Wyomissing, Pa., was honored by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) with the Joseph E. Sterrett Award.

Weidman, 2006-2007 PICPA president, was recognized for his outstanding leadership to PICPA and the accounting profession at the Institute’s 2007 annual meeting in State College. In addition to the award recognition, a donation of $1,000 will be made in his name to the PICPA Scholarship Fund. Weidman is chair and CEO of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP in Wyomissing.

Sterrett was a PICPA founder and the organization’s first president. Honorees of the award that bears his name are individuals who have made significant contributions to PICPA and the CPA profession.
