Squeeze Some Extra Value from Your PICPA Membership

By Steven G. Kerr, vice president – strategy and business development

PICPA’s current membership year wraps up on April 30, but there are plenty of ways to squeeze some extra value out of your membership during the months ahead.

    Tax Season Support

If you’re a tax practitioner, hopefully you’re already taking advantage of PICPA’s great tax season resources. Check out the free access to the Wolter Kluwer CCH Tax Aware Center, valuable discussions and advice on the PICPA Connect Taxation discussion board, free Career Center postings for per diem jobs, and more.

    Discounted and Free CPE

If you are not waist deep in tax work, now may be a great time to get a jump on your 2018 continuing professional education. The PICPA has a full catalog of online courses over the next few months. If you still have credits remaining on a 2017 ClassPass Card or Value Pass Plus, remember that you can still use those for any course happening before May 1. Remember to check our Complimentary CPE page and take advantage of the free courses that are included with your membership.

    CPA Marketing Materials

Promote your accounting firm with free resources and presentations on personal finance and small-business concerns that you can download and customize. There are also new presentation templates on federal tax reform.

Come Out to a Spring Event

Some chapters already have events scheduled for this spring. Also, don’t miss the popular PICPA Day at Hersheypark on April 22! Keep an eye on your chapter homepage in the weeks ahead for more events, including chapter annual meetings in May.

For more info on these and other benefits that come with your membership, check out our member benefits page or reach out to our staff. If you’re not yet a member, you can join now and enjoy a couple of extra months for free. We look forward to helping you get the most out of your membership!
