Douglas Allcorn is a principal in the deals practice at PwC. Douglas specializes in performing valuations of businesses, business interests, securities, and intangible assets for the purposes of mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, tax reporting, and management planning. Douglas has worked with clients across a broad range of health care subsectors, including managed care organizations, acute care hospitals, behavioral health hospitals, physician practice management groups, foundations, pharmacies, laboratory testing centers, and skilled nursing facilities.   

Douglas has experience providing valuation analyses on a wide variety of intangible assets, including trademarks and trade names, patents and patented technology, certificates of need, licenses, access to patient data and databases, provider networks, care paths and protocols, membership lists, customer contracts, noncompete agreements, and in-process research and development, among others. 

Prior to joining the deals practice in Philadelphia, Douglas worked for a national valuation firm. Douglas is a graduate of Drexel University with a bachelor's degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and accounting as well as a master's in finance. In addition, he has earned the right to use the CFA designation.

Glenn Block is a CPA and partner in the accounting firm of Block & Aldinger and has been with the firm since 1982. Brian Boggs is a partner in PwC’s deals practice and has over 15 years of experience servicing a variety of S&P 500 clients and private equity firms, with a focus on the pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and industrial products sectors.

Brian began his career with PwC in 2005 in Washington, D.C., providing assurance services to financial services and consumer and industrial companies. In 2007, Brian joined the Carlyle Group, a private equity firm based in Washington, where he focused on deal structuring, pre- and post-close due diligence, IPOs, and business combinations. In 2011, Brian joined the PwC deals practice in Philadelphia and has focused on mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and capital raises, and divestiture services for large S&P 500 clients. In the past few years, Brian has advised companies on several large IPOs, navigating them through the registration process. Areas of focus include SEC reporting, earnings per share, segments, SEC comment letter responses, and various technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting. Brian has provided accounting advice to clients around complex accounting areas, including, but not limited to, business combinations and purchase accounting, discontinued operations, noncontrolling interest, derivatives, stock-based compensation, deal structuring and partnerships, and uncertainties in income tax positions.

Brian is a CPA in Pennsylvania and Virginia. He received bachelor's degrees in accounting and in finance from Virginia Tech. He later received a master's degree in accounting with a concentration in financial services from Virginia Tech.

Marc, a Director in our Advisory Services Practice, possesses a wealth of practical experience in the accounting field. His career spans more than 20 years and has included roles in both industry and public accounting.

Marc started his career in the audit department of a Big Four firm before moving into industry. While in industry, he held positions ranging from Senior Financial Analyst to Controller for privately held and public companies. Marc originally joined Schneider Downs as a member of its Business Advisory Services Group in 2000.

Marc’s combination of accounting and financial experience in both industry and public accounting has been instrumental in enabling him to provide the highest levels of valueadded service to his clients. His primary areas of focus include M&A due diligence services and fraud investigation and prevention. Furthermore, Marc has led process and control improvement engagements for both public and private companies and performed Sarbanes-Oxley compliance work for companies in the contracting, retailing and manufacturing sectors.

While serving in industry, Marc directed the monthly closing and financial reporting of several companies, implemented accounting system conversions and led a team that reduced the monthly closing cycle from seven days to three days.

Brandon Campbell Jr. is a managing director in PwC's deals practice and regularly addresses various complex accounting matters with clients including revenue recognition and leasing. Brandon's most recent experience has been advising companies around the application of the new revenue recognition and leasing standards under U.S. GAAP and income tax accounting matters under both IFRS and U.S. GAAP. This includes leading the lease accounting advisory solution at PwC. He has advised hundreds of companies on these areas. Additionally, he is a thought leader on a variety of topics, including revenue recognition, leasing, software capitalization, business combinations, CELC, and segment reporting.

Prior to Brandon's time in transaction services, he was in the audit practice of another international accounting firm. Brandon has over 14 years of accounting and auditing experience and has served clients ranging from early stage companies to large multinationals. Brandon has been focusing on SEC engagements for his entire professional career. His experience includes accounting advisory, debt offerings, and quarterly and annual filings with the SEC.

Lachman, Marlene

Judge Marlene Lachman was elected to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in 1995 and reelected in 2005 and 2015. Before going on the bench, she served as prothonotary of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and deputy general counsel, Office of General Counsel for the Commonwealth. Judge Lachman formerly practiced as a civil litigator at Bernstein, Bernstein and Harrison and at Mesirov, Gelman, Jaffe, Cramer and Jamison in the areas of medical malpractice, product liability, and general commercial litigation. She has been active in the Philadelphia and American Bar Associations, having served on the board of governors and as chair of the YLS of the Philadelphia Bar Association and in the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Judge Lachman has also served as a hearing panel member for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board and as parliamentarian of the National Conference of Appellate Courts Clerks. She is involved in numerous professional and civic organizations and has served on various boards, including the boards of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges, Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, Federation of Jewish Agencies of Greater Philadelphia, Jewish Family and Children’s Agency, Gratz College, Temple University General Alumni Association, and the University of Pennsylvania Law Alumni Board of Managers. Judge Lachman is a frequent lecturer on trial practice. For five years she chaired the Judicial Education Committee, she organizes the program to train newly elected judges, and is currently chair of the Access to Justice Committee and the Civil Rules and Procedures Committee of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Bancorp, Inc., a $1 billion financial services holding company with bank branches and affiliates located throughout central Pennsylvania. During his tenure at Sun Bancorp, Mr. McCormack negotiated the acquisition of several bank and non-bank entities. In 2009, Murphy McCormack was ranked 6th in the United States in SNL Financials’ Securities and Investment Financial Adviser Rankings.

Mr. McCormack is a graduate of Alvernia University, Reading, Pennsylvania and where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration.
