CPE Rules Changes

On Sept. 23, 2017, the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy published regulatory changes for continuing education requirements in The Pennsylvania Bulletin.

The new regulations went into effect for the reporting period beginning Jan. 1, 2018.

If you participate in attest services:

80 Credit Hours for Biennial Licensing

4 Credit Hours
Ethics
24 Credit Hours
Accounting & Auditing
52 Credit Hours
Professional Development*

If you do not participate in attest services:

80 Credit Hours for Biennial Licensing

4 Credit Hours
Ethics
76 Credit Hours
Professional Development*


* Professional development courses can be in areas most related to your professional needs. Credit hours not only include tax and accounting and auditing, but also advisory service, specialized knowledge, and management skills, to name a few.
