Greater Philadelphia Chapter Members Teach Hundreds of Students about Budgeting

Twenty members of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter taught an interactive financial literacy program to nearly 500 inner-city high school students participating in Philadelphia Youth Network’s (PYN) Work Ready Program on July 21 at Thomas Jefferson University. The students were taught basic budgeting and money management concepts, which inspired them to consider their financial goals and create their own budget that would help them reach those goals.

If you are interested in teaching and presenting opportunities like PYN’s Work Ready, check out our Inspire Future CPAs program and establish a partnership with a school. The PICPA has PowerPoint presentations and worksheets available to you, in addition to many other resources. Check out photos from this year's program below or on Facebook.
