Jeff Kent-498

President – Jeffrey W. Kent, CPA

Jeff is a partner at Maher Duessel, where he specializes in audits of governmental nonprofit organizations. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Grove City College. Besides his work for the PICPA, Jeff is a member of the board of directors and finance committee of Auberle. Outside work, he is an active golfer and enjoys spending time with family.

2020-2021 Chapter Officers

President-Elect – Richard L. Ward, CPA

Richard is a CPA financial planner for Capital Configuration LLC. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University, has his CPA license, and is a CFP candidate. Richard is a member of the Penn State Alumni Association and NABA. When he's not volunteering, he enjoys coaching youth basketball and golfing with friends.

Vice President –  Kathy D. Sisler, CPA

Kathy is a senior tax manager at H2R CPA in Greentree, Pa., where she specializes in small-business and high-net-worth clients. She holds both the CPA and CGMA credentials, and earned her bachelor's degree from Grove City College. Kathy lives in Harrisville, Pa., with her husband, Carl. When she is not in the office, she enjoys golfing, reading, traveling, and spending time with her son, Chris. 

Secretary – Travis S. Coble, CPA

Travis is senior manager at Herbein + Comany Inc., and specializes in audit and accounting with a focus in manufacturing and distribution. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University. Travis lives in Cranberry Township, Pa., with his wife Marla, son Nathan, and daughters Allison and Hannah. In his spare time he enjoys golf and following Penn State football. 

Treasurer – Bernie A. Schweiss, CPA, CGMA, MST

Bernie is the founder and president of Bernice A. Schweiss, LLC in McMurray, Pa. Her specialties include business accounting, taxes, and planning and advising. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State and her master’s in taxation from Robert Morris University. Along with her CPA certification, she is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). 

Currently living with her parents, Pearl and Larry, in McMurray, Bernie enjoys gardening in her free time. In addition to her involvement with PICPA, she serves as a Tax Section Member with the AICPA, and is a member of both the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University and the Penn State Alumni Association.

Join a Chapter Committee
One of the easiest ways to get involved with the PICPA is to join a committee in your chapter. Examples range from the Schools and Colleges Committee to the Emerging CPAs Committee.
