Prakash Santhana, Director, Deloitte Advisory, leads the Payments Integrity work for financial services, retailers, and service providers. He has worked in the fraud/risk management groups of large credit card issuers and payment startups for over 20 years. He has extensive experience in the types of fraud committed and the behavioral analytics required to detect anomalous patterns at the point of sale including Credit and Debit card fraud, ACH fraud, check fraud, online fraud, and online application fraud. Previously, he was responsible for issuer fraud mitigation, acquirer compliance, and account compromise detection for one of the largest global credit card networks. He was one of the leads for the Global Fraud Advisory Committee at the card network in helping facilitate a discussion on strategy for payments integrity by participating issuers and acquirers. He is also the inventor of an ‘out-of-band’ mobile fraud prevention solution to help card issuers combat non-face-to-face fraud worldwide.
