Accountant and auditors involved with Not-for-Profit entities face many significant challenges to ensure that the financial reports that they are involved with are proper, due to the unique features of Not-for-Profit accounting. This course will review all relevant Accounting Standard Updates (ASU) through ASU 2022-02 that are unique to Not-for-Profit entities. In addition, this course will introduce the impact of new standards, including ASUs and Statement on Auditing Standards. In addition, the course will briefly review some of the more important aspects of the 2018 Government Auditing Standards. All accountants/auditors involved with Not-for-Profit entities should have a working knowledge the unique features of this complex industry’s accounting standards. We will cover the issues that all accounting professional need to know about the unique features of Not-for-Profit accounting as well as the relevant auditing standards contained in the 2018 Government Auditing Standards. This course will provide numerous case studies and examples about the proper accounting for some of the more vexing issues facing accountants involved with Not-for-Profit entities.
