Dearald W. Shuffstall II, Esq.
Senior
Divisional Vice President
Northwest Savings Bank – Oil, Gas & Mineral
Division
Dearald W. Shuffstall II, Esq. (“Bud” to his friends, clients and colleagues)
is a lifelong resident of Meadville, Pennsylvania. Bud obtained his B.A.
from Allegheny College in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh
School of Law in 1994. Before joining Northwest, Bud was an attorney for
nearly 20 years.
In his private law practice Bud assisted landowners with a broad spectrum of
legal issues, including oil and gas lease negotiations, civil litigation, title
examination and related matters. Bud is admitted to practice law in all
state courts in Pennsylvania, as well as all Federal District Courts in the
Commonwealth and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
In 2011 Bud accepted his current position with Northwest Savings Bank,
working to build an oil, gas and mineral division for one of Pennsylvania’s
largest banks. Northwest has over 180 branches, most of which are in the
heart of the shale gas regions of Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. As a
result, the bank’s Oil, Gas and Mineral Division sees new oil and gas related
developments as they occur in the Marcellus, Utica and other shale gas
plays.
A frequent speaker, Bud has presented on various legal topics pertaining to
oil and gas leasing and royalty income management throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio,
New York, West Virginia and Texas.
