Donald J. Pierce is a partner in the Oaks office of
Maillie, Falconiero & Company, LLP. Don practiced public accounting with a
local firm in Chester County since 1987 prior to joining Maillie, Falconiero in
1995.
Don received his Bachelor of Science degree in
accounting from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1987. He received his
CPA certificate two years later in 1989. Don has experience with a wide variety
of clients and has worked extensively with local government clients in
Pennsylvania. He is an expert with governmental accounting and audit issues,
single audit issues and internal control policies and procedures relevant to
governmental entities. In addition, he is on the firm’s Quality Control
Committee and Governmental and Not-for-Profit Services Committee.
Don has been a speaker on current governmental
accounting and auditing issues for various association and firm events,
including the PICPA, Government Finance Officers Association and the
Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors.
Don is a member of the American and Pennsylvania
Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and is on the Local Government
Accounting and Auditing Committee of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified
Public Accountants. He also serves as Treasurer for several church and civic
organizations.
