J. Caruso, CPA, CGMA is chief financial officer of Simplura Health Group in
Valley Stream, N.Y., a private equity-backed provider of home care services
operating in five states. He is a former partner of RSM US LLP and of Fesnak
LLP, which merged into RSM in 2015. At Fesnak, Jim developed and led the Finance
& Accounting Outsourcing and Transaction Advisory Services practices, and
continued to lead the Philadelphia outsourcing practice for RSM. He was also an
adjunct professor at Philadelphia University, teaching financial and managerial
accounting in the Strategic Design executive MBA program from 2014 through
2017.
