Learn a new way to prioritize to improve the quality of your decisions and the results produced. Plan more strategically to improve results and reduce stress. Hear about the obstacles and challenges in the way of achieving goals and how to overcome them. Revisit your systems and processes for getting it all done in the least amount of time.

This course is part of the Hershey Education Summit on Aug. 19-22.

  • Prioritizing: Focus on results and the true drivers of performance; regain critical planning and personal time; increase work/life engagement; create and defend time for priorities and high-payoff tasks
  • Creating a plan: Plan more effectively by understanding what to plan daily vs. weekly vs. monthly; use your plan to say no to poor uses of time; recover from interruptions and spend less time transitioning between tasks; waste less time by not forgetting tasks that pop up
  • Personal leadership and goal achievement: Set, pursue, and achieve short- and long-term goals; connect daily tasks to personal and organizational goals and priorities; inspire and motivate others by leading by example; make faster decisions
  • Proactive vs. reactive: Stop procrastinating when high-quality work is needed; switch from using adrenaline to endorphins to complete difficult or unpleasant tasks; be more proactive, control anxiety, and reduce urgency
  • Managing interruptions: Keep a two-minute interruption to two minutes without harming the relationship; prevent interruptions from falling into chitchat and small talk; recover from interruptions faster and stay focused
  • The skills of great execution: Manage to-do lists, appointments, contacts, and notes more efficiently; get all commitments in one system and track them from anywhere; using Outlook, CRMs, tablets, and smartphones more effectively; set and forget tasks; put an end to looking for important information when it is needed
