Jimmy Mo, CPA
Jimmy Mo is a Partner who leads
the Not-for-Profit Services Group in Pennsylvania. He has nearly 20 years
of auditing experience. Jimmy has extensive experience in the not-for-profit and
health care sectors, including (but not limited to) experience with the OMB
Uniform Guidance audits, museums, cultural organizations, religious organizations, foundations, research and scientific organizations,
voluntary health and welfare organizations, educational institutions, higher education institutions, performing arts,
professional associations, trade associations, and social service organizations.
Jimmy serves on several organizations for his professional and personal
contributions to the Philadelphia business and local community and is on the
Board of Directors of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia. He is also a
member of the Professional Advisory Council for the Barnes Foundation and on the
Board of Advisors for Thomson Reuters, Taxation of Exempts. As an active member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Jimmy assists
in writing and reviewing multiple choice questions and simulations for the AICPA
Uniform CPA Examinations. He also volunteers as an auditor for a national
community organization overseeing the completion of semi-annual financial audits
for approximately 75 local units in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Prior to joining the firm, Jimmy was a Senior Audit Manager at a global
accounting firm, specializing in the not-for-profit and health care industries.
Prior to that he was a Senior Audit Manager with a Big 4 accounting firm. He
also served as an Internal Audit Manager with a national human services
organization.
Jimmy is a frequent speaker, presenting on various topics, including
auditing, accounting, not-for-profits, and governance. He is a writer and has
contributed multiple articles to Thomson Reuters, Taxation of Exempts.
Additionally, Jimmy regularly serves as an instructor for the
firm.
