A Year of Continued Growth

The PICPA launched the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation two years ago.

Our goal was to address the accounting talent pipeline issues and create more opportunities for future CPAs. Through scholarships, events, resources, partnerships, and more, we have reached thousands of students and educators across the state.

None of it would have been possible without the help and dedication of so many individual donors and Corporate Sponsors. Thank you all for your continued support of the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation!

Supporting Future CPAs

The Pennsylvania CPA Foundation restructured its scholarship program to provide financial support in four categories: academic merit, community colleges, minority groups, and high schools. Additionally, we expanded CPA Exam scholarships, designed to help future CPAs cover exam costs.

In total, we received more than 750 applicants and awarded more than $145,000!

Supporting Accounting Educators

Providing resources and training to accounting educators at all levels remains paramount to the Pennsylvania CPA Foundation's mission. In 2018 - 2019, over 60 high school educators completed the Accounting Program for Building the Profession training, 80 professors attended the Annual Accounting Educators Conference, and more than 14,000 books and handouts were mailed to classrooms across the state.

Foundation Donors

Thanks to the generous support from our members and firms, we succeeded in meeting our second year goal to raise $200,000! Our donor retention rate is strong at 55% for individuals and 100% for corporate donors. We've expanded ways to give, allowing members to make meaningful gifts as a celebration of others and offer lasting support through planned and legacy gifts.

Thank you to all of our donors!
